Principles of Multi-channel detection
The MCD 128 is based on the parallel detection of particles,
using a set of anode arrays each connected to a separate
preamplifier and squarer. Using the latest CPLD technology,
signals are counted and transferred to a buffer memory
for data acquisition. The limiting factor in count-rate
optimization has traditionally been the development of
Micro-channel plate technology. The MCD 128 from Vacuum
Systems opens new boundaries.
Software control and data acquisition
The powerful Win95/98 compatible software data acquisition
controls of the MCD 128 are designed to integrate with
a 16-bit DAC based spectrometer with electrostatic or
electromagnetic elements and controls with 16-bit accuracy
and monotonicity to 11sb. |
